The Work Safely at Sea campaign aims to raise awareness and promote safe working conditions for everyone working at sea. Working at sea involves risks, such as extreme weather conditions, heavy physical labour, and coastal isolation. This campaign focuses on educating seafarers on the importance of safety protocols, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to international maritime safety standards.

In addition, the campaign stresses the importance of proper training, both on emergency procedures and the use of technical equipment. Through educational materials, seafarers are prepared for unexpected situations, such as accidents, fires, and going overboard.

‘Work Safely at Sea’ calls not only on individual seafarers to take responsibility for their own safety, but also on employers to invest in safe working conditions. Together, we strive to create a culture where safety always comes first, so that everyone can return home safely every day.
